Neighborhood
Minor Hill Town Homes
The neighborhood is very quaint, which is what drew us to buy this house.
There are tree lined streets with many dogwoods which makes a beautiful spring bloom throughout the neighborhood.
There are sidewalks throughout the neighborhood. You'll see many people out and about walking their dogs.
There is a large shared blacktop area that young children often ride their trikes on and decorate with sidewalk chalk. There is also a children's play area & a community garden for neighbors to participate in.
Minor Ridge Ct is a large court with only townhouses. They are broken up into groupings of 6-8 houses connected. Each house has its own front and backyard. Some backyards are fenced, some houses have covered porches. Most every house has a brick patio in the backyard.
There are street lights sprinkled throughout the court. Another nice thing is that since its a court there is only one way in and one way out. Which means there is no thru traffic, resulting in very quiet setting and only resident traffic.
The neighborhood is only 2 blocks off 29, which is a nucleus road in Charlottesville, so it's easy access to traveling anywhere around town and to the freeway to get out of town.
The neighbors consist of working professionals. There are a handful of resident doctors that live in the neighborhood, young families, couples and retirees. We have never had any problems with any of our neighbors and have become good friends with many of them.
